This is a very simple meal and shopping planner. The basic idea is once you plan a week's worth of meals on the left, then you can easily check which groceries are needed and list them on the right. If your aging relative needs a lot of guidance you can use it as a guide for them to follow each day. If they don't require as much structure, it is helpful just to make sure there are adequate ingredients available for a set number of dishes. Ideally, you can sit down and plan together each week for the following week. This way, when you come back with the groceries, they have the meal list as well and know why certain items were purchased. This also helps lower food waste (for any household).
You can also leave a blank sheet for your loved one to add to on their own.
